You have never studied French before? Don’t worry, you are in the right place! We have classes to get you started. You already have a little or more knowledge of French? Take a placement test to find out what level suits you best!

We offer classes for each level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages : A1 (Beginner), A2 (Elementary), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Upper Intermediate), C1 (Advanced), C2 (Proficient). Every level is divided into 2 or 3 terms of 60 to 80 hours each.

We offer private classes according to your time, your needs and your desires. This is the best way to have specialized support and extra follow-up. We also have group classes to learn, progress and share with other students. Choose the pace that suits you best, 4, 6 or 10 hours per week. Each term lasts on average 10 or 15 weeks depending on the level and pace of learning.

Don’t worry, we continue to provide the best learning experience even during the health crisis. All of our classes are SOPs compliant and we also have online courses to help you study from the comfort of your home!

Private classes range from UGX 40,000 to UGX 75,000 per hour depending on the number of students. Group classes range from UGX 400,000 to UGX 680,000 per term depending on the level. In addition, you will have to pay the registration fee (UGX 30,000), books (from UGX 120,000 to 190,000) and the placement test (UGX 30,000). Find more details about prices on our website!

To register for a class or certification, go to the AFK website, choose what you are interested in, and fill out the online form to get a payment code. You will be promptly told about the next class happening for you!

You can make a bank transfer (Stanbic Bank or Bank of Africa) with your payment code and AFK’s bank details. You can also pay by Mobile Money. We do not accept cash. Find more information about payment methods on our website.

For private classes, you are able to start the classes as soon as we confirm your enrolment and payment. For group classes, there are 4 terms per year. You will find the details of the term calendar on our website. On the first day of class, you will receive your textbook and activity book to help you in your learning process!

As an AFK student, you can consult or borrow books, CDs and DVDs, use computers, tablets or board games and watch TV in our library. You also have the opportunity to participate in cultural events with a discounted price, or access the thousands of resources available online on Culturethèque!

At the end of a term, you will be assessed on the four competencies and you will receive a certificate of attendance. If everything goes well, you will be able to enrol to the next level. We have a special discount for early birds: 5% off your next term fees. Upon completing a full level, you will be ready to take the DELF exam. It is an internationally recognized diploma that you can use to certify your level in French.
